A significant number of projects that miss their deadlines can trace the late delivery to unsuccessful procurement efforts.  Buying goods and services must be accomplished in an established procurement process.  Often times project managers are not educated in the nuances of the procurement process.  Project Managers create schedules (and expectations) without consideration of the time required to complete a procurement action.  This session will examine the potential road blocks caused by poor procurement planning and what can be done to overcome them.
