SESSION TWO:

"Value Add Tools" - with Billy Mwape. MBA, PMP


You will not require all your tools every time, but knowing which ones are right for each job and situation is a crucial part of smooth project management. In this module I will give my expert knowledge and experience on utilizing virtual tools like zoom and Microsoft teams for effective collaboration. With covid19 collocation has become impossible while digital transformation has been accelerated. it is
important for learning organizations to become agile in the way they organize teams for effective brainstorming sessions.

This Module will address;

1. Talking about WBS
2. Facilitating the development of work breakdown structure (WBS) using virtual tools for
collaboration. This shall be an interactive session with participants.
3. Adapting

5. Changing

SESSION THREE:

"People" - with Abigail Mwape, MBA, PMP

 Social Projects are the technical expression of solutions to general interest problems and a means to change unfavorable or problematic situations into convenient aspects in benefit of society. Unlike economic projects where a feasibility study is based on which project has the highest Net Present Value or the shortest Payback Period, social projects focus on the need that a specific endeavor tends to fulfil. In this segment we will focus on : 

  1. Stakeholder Engagement and Management – how do we identify the stakeholders and ensure that they are all on the same page? Avoiding Scope Creep 

  1. Risk Management 

  1. Project communication 

  1. Customer/Beneficiary Buy-in and sustainability 

  1. Assessing project impact – Was it worth it?

SPEAKERS' BIOS

Lee R. Lambert, CEO, PMP, PMI Fellow (2009)

Lee R. Lambert is considered throughout the world as one of the project management profession’s thought leaders.  He has been spreading the PM word for over 50 years and has been recognized by the Project Management Institute as one of only 70 PMI Fellows.  He brings a “real world” message to those hoping to excel in their role of managing projects.  His unique and humorous style creates an enjoyable and productive learning environment.

Lambert has implemented four enterprise-wide project management information systems.  He prepares and delivers user training to thousands of employees at AT&T, IBM, General Electric, MicroSoft and Roche.  His value-added consulting and training is instrumental in creating successful PMOs to drive rapid implementation. Billy S. Mwape, MBA, PMP 

A Strategist, Project, Risk Management, and ICT Expert with over 16 years of experience in the Banking and Mining sectors. He has among many others managed projects ranging from ERP systems, Data center implementation, VoIP Systems, PABX systems, Corporate Governance systems, Credit Scoring system, Automation, Systems integration, Strategy formulation, Fund acquisition to Fintech solutions. He is a certified Project Management trainer with a high focus on PMP and Agile methodology. His passion is to impart knowledge in other people because he believes in going to his grave empty.

He holds a Master of Business Administration – Strategic Planning from Heriot Watt University, BSc. Computer Science from Copperbelt University and a Diploma in Telecommunication Systems from City & Guilds of London Institute.

He is a proven business and community leader and a public speaker holding the following leadership roles: Vice President - Project Management Institute (PMI) Zambia Chapter, Chairperson for Watt Club Zambia (Heriot Watt University Alumni) and Area Director for Toastmasters International, Zambia.

Billy has the following professional certifications: PMP, COBIT 5, CCNA, MCT – Exchange server 2013, MCTS – SQL server 2008. He also has 10 years’ experience in software development using Java, C#/ASP.NET, Python, C++ and Ladder.

Abigail S. Mwape - MBA, PMP

Abigail is a Project Management Expert, Strategist, and Town Planner. She is among the first PMP holders and the first female PMP trainer in her country, Zambia. She has coordinated numerous universal access projects aimed at bridging the digital divide between the rural and urban areas in Zambia and benefitting over a million individuals countrywide. She is also volunteering as Project Manager for the Watt Club Zambia, an organization of which she is co-founder. Abigail’s Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification coupled with her MBA in Strategic Planning, Business Continuity Management as well as Monitoring and Evaluation qualifications has enabled her to evaluate strategic and business planning processes in organizations as well as monitor trends, performance, and progress against the strategic plan.

In her current position she has gained a reputation not only for her impressive work rate and integrity but also for her effective communication skills and dedication to duty. She knows how to set goals and achieve them, and she has a proven track record of being able to conceive, develop & execute projects and strategies. Abigail believes that it is important to think strategically and develop a coherent and defensible basis for decision making that would improve performance and deal effectively with rapidly changing circumstances.
